Parachain LabsBucharest

We own one asset with conviction, build software in the open, and borrow against neither.

Parachain Labs is a Bitcoin treasury and development company in Bucharest. Long duration, no leverage, and a working software business that keeps us close to the technology we invest behind.

01Conviction

One monetary anchor. Everything else must earn its place.

Bitcoin sits at the centre of this platform. It is the asset we are willing to be concentrated in, and it is the standard every other idea is measured against. Most ideas do not clear it. That is the point of having a standard.

Around the core we study a small number of structural shifts, looking for the same thing in each: the step that cannot scale on the timeline the story requires. Demand can be forecast. Capacity has to be built. Where those two diverge, price tends to be wrong for long enough to matter.

Conceptual architecture · relative weight, not allocation

02What we do

Three things, in order of weight.

  1. Own

    Bitcoin

The treasury is denominated in it. Held, not traded.

  2. Build

    Software

CFO AI is live and in the market. We build rather than only allocate.

  3. Study

    A few industries

A small number of industries where the constraint is physical and the demand is not speculative.

03How we hold it

No leverage.

Encumberednone

Most companies that hold Bitcoin on a balance sheet borrow against it. Convertible notes, credit facilities, collateralised lines — the position becomes a lever, and the company’s survival becomes a function of price rather than of conviction.

We don’t. The treasury is unencumbered. Nothing is pledged, nothing is lent, nothing is margined.

The reason is arithmetic rather than principle. An unleveraged holder facing a sixty percent drawdown has a difficult year. A leveraged holder facing the same drawdown may not have a position left to recover with. Leverage converts a volatility problem into a solvency problem, and volatility is the one thing about this asset that is genuinely predictable.

There are narrow circumstances in which we would use it — against a specific, ring-fenced opportunity, sized so that the treasury itself is never the collateral. That has been rare and is intended to stay rare.

04Operating discipline

Conviction is not enough. It has to be operated.

The same six decisions, applied without exception, in every market condition.

  1. 01

    Accumulation

Disciplined acquisition on a schedule, with opportunistic additions during dislocation. Regular buying regardless of market noise, rather than reaction to it.

  2. 02

    Custody

Cold storage, multi-signature authorisation and audited custodial partners, with layered operational controls around access and recovery.

  3. 03

    Risk

Low leverage on Bitcoin positions and tightly limited exposure to other digital assets. Outside the reserve and the rotation described below, holdings are restricted to operational liquidity and cash.

  4. 04

    Rotation

Ethereum is treated as a rotation against Bitcoin rather than as a holding. A position is taken only when pre-defined technical conditions on the ETH/BTC ratio are met, and it is measured in Bitcoin terms. The objective is more Bitcoin, not diversification.

  5. 05

    Concentration

The overwhelming majority of capital sits in Bitcoin, and returns to Bitcoin. Concentration is an explicit decision, taken with its risks understood, not the residue of inattention.

  6. 06

    Time

We underwrite long-duration structural adoption rather than short-term price movement. Selling is reserved for extreme circumstances, not for market conditions.

05Capital architecture

Conviction has a centre.

The shape of the platform is deliberate: one asset carries the weight, and everything beyond it is sized as an exception rather than a diversification exercise.

06Why Bitcoin

Why this asset
and not another.

  1. Energy
  2. Security
  3. Consensus
  4. Scarcity
  5. Settlement

Bitcoin is a settlement network whose monetary rules are enforced by the participants rather than decided by an issuer. Supply is fixed at twenty-one million and the schedule is public. Rewriting settled history costs energy rather than permission. Ownership travels with a key rather than with a jurisdiction. None of that is a prediction — it is a description of how the system is built, and it is the reason a treasury can be denominated in it rather than merely exposed to it.

The four-year halving rhythm is the most quoted pattern in this asset and the most misread. It was never a law — it was a supply shock large enough to matter, transmitted through a thin market. The April 2024 halving reduced new issuance from roughly 900 BTC per day to 450, while a median 2025 trading day moved about 2,008 BTC into or out of the US spot ETFs — roughly 4.4 times the network's daily issuance, and larger than the entire halving cut on 89% of trading days. The October 2025 peak still arrived roughly eighteen months after the halving, in line with prior cycles, but the drawdown that followed was the shallowest on record. The timing has held; the amplitude is decaying. A pattern with reliable timing and fading amplitude is an observation, not an edge — which is why we hold through cycles rather than trade them.

Historical patterns are described for analytical purposes. Past performance is not indicative of future results.

07What we build

We don’t only invest in software. We ship it.

Parachain Labs operates a working software business. Not a research interest, not a thesis — a live product, a roadmap and the ordinary problems of both.

CFO AI

cfo-ai.io

CFO-grade analysis for European SMEs.

Upload a trial balance and get a CFO-grade analysis back in ninety seconds — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, ratios, valuation and a credit score, benchmarked against named public companies of similar size and sector rather than vague industry averages.

Romania is handled at deterministic grade: the RAS-compliant engine reconciles to under one percent balance-sheet drift, and the same trial balance always produces the same output. Other jurisdictions are accepted, with the structure read by the model and the numbers machine-verified twice. That unglamorous part is the part that decides whether it works — a model that understands finance in the abstract is useless against a Romanian trial balance if it does not know the Romanian chart of accounts.

Why it exists

The problem was in front of us daily. Most small and mid-sized companies have complete financial data and no analysis — the numbers exist, and nobody has time to ask what they mean, every month, forever. That gap is not a technology problem. It is a labour problem that technology can now close.

Visit cfo-ai.io

Building this changed what we look at. You cannot ship software against real accounting data without learning where the actual constraints sit — in data quality, in integration, in what people will and won’t hand over to a machine. That is the same lens we apply to every industry we study.

Named ventures are listed for identification only. Nothing here is a statement about stage, traction, customers or performance.

08Where we look

We invest where we can see the machinery.

The filter is not sector and not novelty. It is whether we can inspect the thing from the inside — whether we understand the workflow, the constraint and the reason adoption stalls, rather than only the story.

That leads us toward industries being genuinely rebuilt rather than repriced: applied artificial intelligence where it meets real operations, the physical infrastructure that computation depends on, and the systems through which capital is measured and moved. It leads us away from anything whose thesis is only that a category is growing.

We hold few positions, we hold them for a long time, and most ideas we look at do not clear the bar of simply holding Bitcoin instead.

Frontier sections describe an analytical framework. They do not represent current holdings, positions or commitments.

Industries

Constraint chain

Reserves that have to survive an audit

Thesis

Bitcoin capital allocation

For an operating company the constraint is rarely conviction. It is the treasury policy, the auditor, the banking relationship, and the board that has to sign it.

The argument for a corporate treasury holding Bitcoin has been made, at length, and it is largely settled among people who have read it. Adoption has still been slow, and the reason is not that finance directors find the argument unpersuasive. It is that the path from persuaded to executed runs through an accounting treatment their auditor has to accept, a custody arrangement their insurer has to price, a bank that may quietly reconsider the relationship, and a board whose risk appetite was set before any of this existed.

Each of those is a gate, and each is being worked on by someone. Accounting standards move. Custody insurance matures. Banking policy softens as precedent accumulates. The interesting question is not whether corporate adoption happens, but which gate opens last — because that gate, not the thesis, sets the pace.

Secondary constraints

  • Accounting treatment under local GAAP
  • Auditor comfort
  • Custody insurance
  • Banking relationships
  • Board risk appetite
  • Regulatory reporting

Investment questionIf corporate treasuries adopt Bitcoin, what has to change before the second one does it?

Both chains end in the same place. Inference and proof-of-work are different computations with the same physical input, and the constraint under each is not the chip but the power it draws.

09How Parachain thinks

Find the change.
Find the constraint.
Price the asymmetry.

  1. 01

    Structural change

Is the shift large enough to still matter in a decade?

We are not interested in changes that resolve inside a news cycle. The shift has to be visible in physical demand, in capital expenditure, and in what is being built.

  2. 02

    Bottleneck

What becomes scarce if the thesis is right?

Every expansion runs into something inelastic. We map the chain until we find the step that cannot be scaled on the same timeline as the demand above it.

  3. 03

    Asymmetry

Is the reward structurally disproportionate to the underwritten downside?

We size the downside first, as permanent loss rather than volatility, and require the upside to be structural rather than sentimental.

  4. 04

    Discipline

Is this better than simply holding Bitcoin?

Most work ends here. That is not a failure of the process. It is the process.

10Time

Markets price quarters.

Structural change takes years.

Capital should know the difference.

11About Parachain

Conviction backed
by discipline.

Parachain is run from Bucharest by an operator rather than an allocator.

The day job is the finance function of a Romanian food manufacturer: consolidation across operating entities, margin at SKU and store level, forecasts that have to survive contact with a real supply chain, and the ordinary institutional friction of getting anything approved. The FMCG thesis on this site is not researched from the outside. Neither is the treasury one.

That shapes what the platform does. Bitcoin is where long-duration conviction sits, held rather than traded. Around it, the research is deliberately narrow — a small number of chains, understood at the level of the step that actually breaks, in industries where we can tell the difference between a pilot that works and one that only demonstrates.

03Values01 system
  1. Integrity

Transparent thinking and clear incentives. We would rather publish the constraint than the narrative.

  2. Conviction

Concentration where the thesis warrants it, and the willingness to be uncomfortable while it plays out.

  3. Discipline

Time horizon and process over market emotion. Noise is expensive; we decline to pay for it.

12Questions

The questions
worth asking.

Answers are kept factual and deliberately short.

Ask something else

Because it is the only proven scarce digital asset. Other assets carry either questionable supply constraints or materially different risk profiles.

Holding Bitcoin minimises the existential risks we can identify while retaining exposure to long-term monetary adoption. It is the hardest money we have access to, and we treat it as the reference point against which every other allocation is measured.

Parachain is not a fund and does not manage outside capital. There is no product here, and nothing on this site is an offer of one.

Any change in the value of the platform’s holdings comes from the value of Bitcoin over time, not from trading activity. Bitcoin is volatile and past performance is not indicative of future results.

The Bitcoin reserve is not traded. It is sold only under extreme circumstances — for example a catastrophic legal or regulatory event, or an existential threat to the platform.

Ordinary market conditions, including severe drawdowns, are not among those circumstances. The rotation described below is the one defined exception, and it is denominated in Bitcoin rather than realised out of it.

Cold storage, multi-signature wallets, audited custodial partners and layered security measures.

Operational controls govern access, authorisation and recovery. We treat custody as an engineering discipline rather than a vendor decision.

Bitcoin exhibits significant short-term volatility. Our response is structural rather than tactical: low leverage on Bitcoin positions and tightly limited exposure to other cryptocurrencies.

Non-Bitcoin holdings are restricted to essential operational liquidity and cash reserves. We prioritise disciplined, long-term capital preservation over attempts to time the market.

Bitcoin is the reserve. Ethereum is used as a rotation against it — a position taken only when pre-defined technical conditions on the ETH/BTC ratio are met, and closed back into Bitcoin.

It is a tactical instrument measured in Bitcoin terms, not a second conviction and not a diversification. Everything else is operational liquidity and cash. This describes how the platform is run; it is not advice and not an offer.

We study a deliberately small field: applied artificial intelligence in consumer goods and food, and what it takes for an operating company to hold Bitcoin as a treasury reserve. We also build ventures in applied AI.

This is an analytical framework, not a portfolio disclosure. It describes how we think about opportunity beyond the core, and it does not represent current holdings, positions or commitments. Bitcoin remains the centre of the platform.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or advice in relation to any security or digital asset.

Parachain does not manage capital on behalf of others.
